Privacy Policy
How the current Workroom Tools site handles calculator inputs, locally saved projects, exports and contact messages.
This policy describes the Workroom Tools website at workroomtools.com and its curtain calculators. Calculations run in your browser. The site does not require an account or provide a cloud project store.
Calculator inputs and project files
Measurements, allowances, project names and calculation results are processed on your device. The calculator does not send these project values to a Workroom Tools server. An imported project file is read and validated in your browser; importing it does not upload it to us.
Avoid including customer contact details or other private information in project names when those details are not needed for a calculation.
Saving on this device
The Save on this device action stores one project per tool in this browser’s local database (IndexedDB). The saved copy can include your project name, measurements, units, material choices, construction allowances, cut-piece notes and label layout settings. The calculator restores that copy when you return in the same browser.
A saved project remains available until you replace it, use that tool’s clear-saved-project control, or the browser removes its site data. Browser settings, private browsing and storage cleanup can affect how long it remains. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to open the saved project.
To remove a saved copy, open the corresponding calculator from All tools and use its clear-saved-project control, then confirm. Each tool clears only its own slot. This removes the stored copy; the current in-memory calculation remains open until you close or replace it. Export a backup first if you need to keep the job.
Theme preference and language switching
Your light or dark theme choice is stored in this browser’s localStorage so it can persist across navigation and reloads. You can remove it through your browser’s site-data settings.
When you switch the calculator language in the same tab, a valid current project is temporarily placed in sessionStorage to preserve its dimensions, units and unsaved state. The destination page consumes and removes this record. It does not replace your explicitly saved project or synchronize it to another device. If the destination does not load, closing the tab or clearing site data removes the session record.
When you send a project to heading layout, pattern repeat or piece labels, a versioned record of the relevant project data is also temporarily passed through sessionStorage. The receiving tool validates it and leaves its saved slot unchanged until you explicitly save.
The page URL determines the language. The site does not require location access or force a geographic redirect.
Exports and printing
Project JSON files, CSV cutting or marking tables and PDFs you save are separate files under your control. Clearing the site’s saved project does not delete downloaded files, copies in your backups, or printed pages.
If you choose a cloud folder, email service or other application to store or share an export, that service’s privacy practices apply to the copy you give it.
Cookies, analytics and external services
The current site does not set application cookies and does not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts. The local project database is browser storage, not a tracking cookie. Page fonts and illustrations are served with the site.
Cloudflare Workers hosts and delivers this website over HTTPS. Cloudflare processes network information, such as your IP address and HTTP request details, to deliver pages and protect its services. We enable sampled request logs and performance traces to diagnose availability and errors. These records may include the requested URL, time, response status and technical error details. Calculator values and imported project files remain in your browser and are not sent with these diagnostic records.
Cloudflare currently documents a maximum retention period of seven days for Workers Logs. Its infrastructure data handling follows its own policies; see Workers Logs and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Do not put project or customer details into page URLs, which may be included in access records.
External reference links take you to other websites, whose own privacy policies apply. If you use a browser assistant to interact with this page, its access and any processing it performs are governed by that service and your permissions.
Contact messages
A public support email address has not been set up yet, and this website does not currently accept contact-form submissions. The contact page will show the available contact method when one is added.
Changes and questions
The date at the top identifies the latest revision. If accounts, cloud saving, analytics, advertising or other data services are introduced, this policy must be updated to describe how those features handle information.
For available contact options, visit Contact us. We cannot remotely retrieve, edit or erase a project stored only in your browser; use the local data controls described above.
